Shobhna Yadav, a senior news anchor at ABP News, has resigned and joined Zee News in the same role. She used to host the evening prime-time show on ABP News.
In addition to her anchoring work, Yadav is a successful film producer. Her recent production, the film ‘Dasvin’, was well-received by the audience, with popular Hindi cinema actor Abhishek Bachchan playing an important role.
She began her career in 2003 with India TV and has produced a Bollywood film titled ‘Dear Maya’ in 2017, starring Manisha Koirala.
Interestingly, the popular Bollywood film ‘Batla House’ is based on the real-life story of Shobhna Yadav and her husband, Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, a nine-time gallantry award recipient. The film depicts the story of the controversial Batla House encounter that took place in Delhi in 2008.
Yadav’s move to Zee News is expected to bring a fresh perspective and experience to the news channel. With her years of experience in the media industry, Yadav is expected to enhance the quality of the news programs and bring a new level of professionalism to Zee News. Her expertise in film production may also come in handy for the channel’s future content strategy.
