IndiaCast, a company that focuses on monetizing content assets across multiple platforms, has appointed Piyush Goyal as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). Goyal is a seasoned professional in the Indian TV distribution industry, with over 20 years of experience in senior leadership positions at prominent companies like Star TV, Network18, NDTV, and DEN Networks.
In his previous role as EVP and Head of Key Accounts at Star India, Goyal managed major MSO and DTH players. He is known for his risk-taking abilities, execution skills, and team leadership skills. He has a B Tech and MBA degree and has completed senior leadership programs from Harvard and INSEAD.
In his new role, Piyush Goyal will work closely with the operating heads of the TV news, entertainment, and sports businesses of the Network18 Group. He will report to Network18’s Managing Director Rahul Joshi.

IndiaCast is jointly owned by TV18 and Viacom18, and its mandate includes domestic distribution, placement services, international channel distribution and advertising sales, new media (digital) distribution, and content syndication for all the group company channels and content. The company aims to bring quality Indian content to viewers across the globe.
