Maruti Suzuki, a leading automobile manufacturer in India, has announced that it has selected Mindshare India as its new media agency. The announcement was confirmed by Shashank Srivastava, the Senior Executive Director of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India.
The account was previously managed by dentsu India, and the account size is estimated to be around Rs 1200 crore. The mandate for the new agency will cover traditional, outdoor, and digital media.
Maruti Suzuki initiated a pitch in November 2022 to explore new options and evaluate technology-powered solutions that media agencies can offer to take the brand’s growth to the next level. It is believed that GroupM, OMG, and dentsu made it to the final round of the pitch.
In June 2022, Maruti Suzuki India added Lintas C:EX, which is a Mullen Lowe Lintas Group agency, to its creative roster. The automobile company is now working with Hakuhodo India, dentsu Impact, and Lintas C:EX for developing creative solutions and advertising campaigns. By working with multiple creative agencies, Maruti Suzuki aims to expand its creative capabilities and create impactful campaigns that connect with its target audience.
Speaking about the development, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director – Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India says, ” We have had a wonderful partnership for almost six years with dentsu India, however, we are looking at greater efficiency and also looking at more technology-driven solutions.”
